With local elections being held at your end of year meeting this month, many units will have a change in leadership. In addition to reporting new officers to Delaware PTA, the new officers (usually the President & Treasurer) will need to be added to the bank account and the outgoing officers will need to be removed from the bank account. As such, Delaware PTA and its constituent associations never comment on, endorse nor support candidates for office. We support issues – not candidates. Our role is to engage and empower families to exercise their voice. We will do this by promoting voter turnout and working with local unit leaders to coordinate candidate forums in each district so that our families can make informed decisions when voting.
