Scholarship Opportunities for Graduating Public High School Seniors
Delaware PTA is proud to offer scholarship opportunities. The applicant must be a Delaware resident (who also attends a public high school in the state of Delaware), and who will be matriculating into a two- or four-year college/university in the 2027-2028 school year. The number and amount of scholarships awarded each year depend on proceeds of Delaware PTA projects, donations, and functions.
Delaware PTA King/Lewis Scholarship: Applicant must be a graduating senior pursuing a 2 or 4-year degree at any accredited college or university that is related to an intended career in early childhood or K-12 education profession. Up to $1000.00 will be awarded.
Application Period: March 1, 2027 – May 1, 2027
NOTE: applications received outside of the application period will not be considered
The deadline for application submission is May 1, 2027.
Eligibility
- Must reside in Delaware and is a graduating senior at a Delaware public high school
- Must attend a school with an active PTA or PTSA in good standing OR be a Delaware PTA VIP member.
- Must be pursuing a 2 or 4-year degree in early childhood or K-12 education or related field at an accredited college or university and starting in the fall immediately following the scholarship application period.
- Maintain an average GPA of 2.5 or better
- Must provide a copy of the college acceptance letter
- Must provide evidence of financial need and/or academic achievement
- Note: Preference will be given to applicants entering a Delaware college/university
If awarded the scholarship, you will be asked to provide your college/university student ID number to be referenced on the award check that is sent directly to the college/university.
