Delaware PTA wants to celebrate the wonderful things your PTA is doing! Local PTA units bring amazing, innovative programs and services to children and families every day. This year every PTA unit will have the opportunity to share their successes by applying for the following awards.  The award descriptions are below. Delaware PTA & The Beau Biden Foundation Partner to Offer Training

Delaware PTA is excited to partner with the Beau Biden Foundation to offer the Light’s Stewards of Children program to our members. This essential training is designed to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize and respond responsibly to child sexual abuse. The session will also focus on mandatory reporting laws in Delaware. This session is open to all PTA members. Attending educators will receive a certificate for completion of Evidence-Informed Training. National PTA Announces Take Your Family to School Week Grant Program

ALEXANDRIA, Va., (Oct. 30, 2017)—National PTA announced today that $55,000 in funding will be awarded to PTAs across the country to promote family engagement in education during Take Your Family to School Week, Feb. 11-17, 2018. Through an application process, 55 local PTAs will be selected to receive grants of $1,000 each. “Family engagement in education is proven to positively impact student, school and community outcomes,” said Jim Accomando, president of National PTA. “National PTA is excited to equip PTAs with resources to get more families involved in their child’s education, particularly as part of Take Your Family to School

Attention Delaware PTA Units: DPTA State Grants Now Available

        We are excited to announce that DPTA will be awarding grants to local units that are in good standing (up to $250 per unit).  The total amount that will be granted for the 2017-18 school year is $2,500.
