SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR DELAWARE STUDENTS

Each year, the Delaware Department of Education awards millions in college scholarships, grants and aid to students across the state. In 2016, more than $3.14 million was given to students in need based and merit scholarships and incentive loans, including the B. Bradford Barnes, Charles L. Hebner, and Herman M. Holloway, Sr. memorial scholarships. These full scholarship offers pay tuition, fees, room and board, and books for students enrolled full-time in 12 or more credit hours each semester. How are you funding your programs? Let DPTA help!!!

This is just a reminder that DPTA will be awarding grants to local units that are in good standing (up to $500 per unit). The total amount that will be granted for the 2016-17 school year is $5,000. Why?? DPTA wants to support units that are promoting PTA programs. These programs are: Student and School Success (Family Engagement) (e.g., school events for families, advocacy) Health and Safety (e.g., after-prom, walk-a-thons) Arts in Education (e.g., Reflections, after school art program) Not sure what these programs are? Delaware PTA Awards Scholarships to Two Delaware High school Graduates

  Bear, DE— Delaware PTA is pleased to announce the 2016 recipients of the Delaware PTA Betty Lewis and Debbie King Scholarships. Each year Delaware PTA offers scholarships to graduating Delaware high school students planning to enter an Education or Early Childhood Education post-secondary program. The scholarships are open to any graduating student that is a member of their local PTA/PTSA or is Delaware VIP.
