VOTING OPEN ON STUDENT LOGO CONTEST

Voting now is open in the Delaware Department of Education’s second annual Delaware Goes to College student logo contest. Anyone may vote through Jan. 26 by “liking” his or her favorite design on the Delaware Goes to College facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DelawareGoesToCollege?ref=ts&fref=ts). Entries are displayed under the page’s photo albums.

Students from the following schools have submitted entries: Brandywine’s Mt. Pleasant High, Cape Henlopen’s Cape Henlopen High, Capital’s Dover High,  New Castle County Vo-Tech’s Delcastle High, Red Clay Consolidated’s Cab Calloway, Smyrna’s Smyrna High and Sussex Tech’s Sussex Tech High.

The winning design will be announced Jan 27.

The College Board then will print the winning design on black nylon string backpacks that will be distributed in early May to celebrate seniors with post-secondary plans.

The contest is organized by the department’s Higher Education Office with support from the University of Delaware’s Institute for Public Administration.
