Senate Dear Colleague Letter to Support SFECs Submitted Yesterday

Dear PTA Leaders,

On May 25, the U.S. Senate’s deadline to receive Dear Colleague letters closed and  we are happy to announce that this year PTA was able to garner a bipartisan group of 28 Senators to sign on to the Dear Colleague letter in support of funding for Statewide Family Engagement Centers (SFECs), which is 6 more Senators than we had on last year’s letter. This is a huge accomplishment that could not be done without all of your hard work and advocacy efforts at the local and state levels.  Great job everyone and thank you for all that you do! Attached is the final Senate SFECs Dear Colleague letter and below is the list of Senators that signed on.

Both the House and Senate SFEC Dear Colleague letters were bipartisan and received more signatures this year than last year (the House letter received 8 more signatures).  FINAL Senate FY18 Dear Colleague Ltr on SFECs
