Delaware PTA is currently looking for an Interim Treasurer effective July 1, 2014 – Nov 15, 2014.
The Interim Treasurer will work directly with the Finance Committee and the President to provide financial oversight and guidance for the organization including: depositing membership revenue, issuing checks as needed for overhead and general administrative functions, assisting in preparing the operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year, preparing monthly financial statements and assisting local units with questions regarding IRS 501(c)(3) compliance. We are looking for a confident, reliable team player to take advantage of this opportunity. Background knowledge of PTA, general accounting principles (GAAP) and non-profits would be helpful. Additional training tools and resources are available.
