National Youth Science Camp


–Two Delaware students will be selected to attend the nearly month-long camp this summer on full scholarships—


Delaware will send two 2015 high school graduates to West Virginia this summer to attend the National Youth Science Camp on full scholarships. The 3 ½-week experience (June 17 to July 11) includes lectures and hands-on research projects presented by scientists from across the nation, overnight expeditions into the Monongahela National Forest and a visit to the nation’s capital. The selected delegates must demonstrate academic achievement in science and show potential for thoughtful scientific leadership.

The NYSC experience is offered at no cost to participants so that selected delegates may attend regardless of their financial status. Educational and recreational programming, as well as meals, lodging, and round-trip airfare are covered. This is possible thanks to contributions to the National Youth Science Foundation.

The application period runs until March 1, 2015. Applicants must commit to the entire NYSC time. Application packets are available online at
