INFORMATION SESSION FOR REACH FAMILIES JAN. 7
Delaware Department of Education officials will host an informational session for Reach Academy for Girls families from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7 to help them learn more about enrolling in another school for next year. The event will be held at Delaware Technical & Community College’s Stanton campus, 400 Stanton-Christiana Road, Newark, 19713
The state did not renew the school’s charter, meaning it will close at the end of this academic year.
Students may return to their district feeder pattern schools next year or may apply to attend other charter schools or district schools through the state’sChoice program. The Choice application deadline is January 14, 2015.
Representatives from other district and charter schools have been invited to attend to share more information about their schools with perspective families.
The state also has set up an email address (infocso@doe.k12.de.us) and phone number (302-735-4020) to answer families’ questions. And a web site with more information for families has been established athttp://bitly.com/ReachInfo.
