Hope Street Group National Teachers Fellows serve as spokespeople for educators’ ideas and perspectives. They have opportunities to broaden their understanding of national reform efforts; learn media skills; and receive continuous support in writing blog posts, op-eds, and letters to the editor.
HSG National Teacher Fellows work with the U.S. Department of Education and other national leaders as well as their colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions to address a myriad of public policy challenges related to education. Fellows are provided with the tools to gather the voice of their peers through rigorous surveys and focus groups, which is then turned into recommendations for national policy makers. Hope Street Group will seek input from the U.S. Department of Education on research topics that may be helpful to formulating Federal policy.
