Community Forums to discuss Advancing Educator Compensation and Careers

Dear Educator, Community Leader, and Stakeholder:

There’s exciting work going on right now in Delaware to improve career pathways and compensation for educators. We want you to be a part of it!

In July, the Governor signed Senate Bill 254, which created a framework for an improved compensation system and established a committee of representatives, including members of the education community, legislators, and budget experts to develop a plan. The committee began meeting at the end of July and since September, they have hosted two virtual town halls, held two Educator Work Group meetings (with two more planned in early November),and met with many educator and community groups  to gain feedback and inform their work.  Now, the committee seeks to further engage and hear input from educators and community members across the state at five Community Forums to provide an update on the proposal being developed as well as hear ideas and gather feedback to inform their final proposal.
