Announcing the 2018 Delaware PTA Scholarship Recipient

 

 

Emma Brown, 2018 Graduate of Charter School of Wilmington received a $1000.00 scholarship from the Delaware PTA Betty Lewis Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded to graduating Delaware students planning to pursue a career in Education or Early Childhood Education. Brown is a member of the Charter School of Wilmington Volley Ball team and the Crew Team where she has serve as team captain. In addition to her extra-curricular activities at school, Emma Brown volunteers her time tutoring other students and is involved with several community organizations including Coastal Cleanup, Love of Christ Church and Project 10:27. Emma will be attending the University of Delaware in the fall where she will pursue a degree in Secondary Mathematics with the goal of becoming a future educator! Congratulations Emma!!

 

About Delaware PTA’s Scholarship Program

Delaware PTA currently offers two scholarships to graduating Delaware Seniors that are PTA members. The Betty Lewis and Debbie King scholarships are available to any qualifying Delaware Senior pursing a degree in Early Childhood Education or Education. In addition, the proceeds from our Delaware VIP Membership fund a third scholarship that will be available to any qualifying Delaware Senior pursing a post-secondary degree at any accredited US college or university.
