Lowes Toolbox for Education Grant

PTA Leaders: The Lowes Toolbox for Education Spring grant application is now available (http://www.toolboxforeducation.com/). The application period officially closes on 2/9/17 but if they receive more than 1,500 applications, they may close earlier. 14 SCHOOLS FROM ACROSS STATE RECOGNIZTED FOR THEIR STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Fourteen schools have won honors for their students’ academic achievements. For 2016, the state is recognizing two National Title I Distinguished School awardees, two Reward Schools and nine Recognition Schools. Each school will receive an $8,000 award. Funding for the awards comes from the state’s School Improvement funds. SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR DELAWARE STUDENTS

Each year, the Delaware Department of Education awards millions in college scholarships, grants and aid to students across the state. In 2016, more than $3.14 million was given to students in need based and merit scholarships and incentive loans, including the B. Bradford Barnes, Charles L. Hebner, and Herman M. Holloway, Sr. memorial scholarships. These full scholarship offers pay tuition, fees, room and board, and books for students enrolled full-time in 12 or more credit hours each semester.
