Local PTA Units Recipient of Target Grant

Congratulations to Mount Pleasant Elementary PTA and Maple Lane PTA in the Brandywine School District. Both units applied for and received a $1000.00 grant from Target as part of Target’s commitment to local youth soccer. The grant will support player registration fees, player & field equipment, as well as professional development for volunteer coaches. Just another example of PTAs leveraging community partnerships to support our communities and students. #ValueofPTA

Reflections Theme Search Winners

We are pleased to announce the following students have been selected as the Reflection Theme Search winners at the state level. We received more than 100 entries this year from a lot of talented students, so it was a tough decision. These entries will be sent to National PTA and judged at the National level. One exceptional theme will be chosen February 1, 2018 to inspire creativity for the 2019-2020 PTA Reflections program theme. Delaware PTA & The Beau Biden Foundation Partner to Offer Training

Delaware PTA is excited to partner with the Beau Biden Foundation to offer the Light’s Stewards of Children program to our members. This essential training is designed to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize and respond responsibly to child sexual abuse. The session will also focus on mandatory reporting laws in Delaware. This session is open to all PTA members. Attending educators will receive a certificate for completion of Evidence-Informed Training.
