Delaware PTA & The Beau Biden Foundation Partner to Offer Training

Delaware PTA is excited to partner with the Beau Biden Foundation to offer the Light’s Stewards of Children program to our members. This essential training is designed to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize and respond responsibly to child sexual abuse. The session will also focus on mandatory reporting laws in Delaware. This session is open to all PTA members. Attending educators will receive a certificate for completion of Evidence-Informed Training. National PTA Announces Take Your Family to School Week Grant Program

ALEXANDRIA, Va., (Oct. 30, 2017)—National PTA announced today that $55,000 in funding will be awarded to PTAs across the country to promote family engagement in education during Take Your Family to School Week, Feb. 11-17, 2018. Delaware Anti-Discrimination Draft Regulation and Model Policy

  The draft copy of the Delaware anti-discrimination regulation and model policy are now available for public review. We have included these drafts below. Please check our calendar for a list of dates/locations of the community conversations in which the public can provide feedback on the anti-discrimination regulation and model policy. Delaware PTA Statement on DACA

Today the Trump administration announced that they would end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)  “Dreamer’s Act”, a program that has protected almost 800,000 young undocumented immigrants from deportation. According to the White House, Trump will revisit the issue in six months if Congress fails to legalize DACA.
