Congratulations to Sterling Gray, recipient of the 2014 National PTA Youth Leadership Summit Scholarship. Sterling was one 15 award winners from around the country. Sterling will travel to Austin Texas with the Delaware PTA Delegates in June where he will represent Delaware at the National Youth Leadership Summit.
What is Happening at the Youth Summit?
At the Youth Leadership Summit, attendees will experience an in-depth leadership training from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 featuring keynote, James T. Robilotta, a youth leadership expert and motivational speaker.
As requested by last year’s attendees, students will participate in the entire National PTA Convention, including a special track of workshops that have been designated relevant to student leaders.
At 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21, the National PTA Youth Involvement Committee will host a Student Social Party with a DJ, food and fun, and a dialogue about college preparation and campus life.
We are honored that a Delaware student and PTA member was chosen for this opportunity and we look forward to working with Sterling here in Delaware to develop our youth leadership!
